A factory worker from Barnsley is planning to take a second job after his nine-year-old son won a coveted place at the Royal Ballet’s boarding school.

Steve and Zoe Faulkner need to raise £100,000 so their nine year old son Keenan can become the next Billy Elliot.
The talented boy who speaks with a broad Barnsley accent, and lives on a terraced street in the former pit town, beat off competition from 2,400 kids to win a place at the Royal Ballet’s boarding school for the best young dancers in the world.
Mr Faulker, who earns £15,600 a year at an engineering factory, plans to take a second job and work seven days a week so he can pay the tuition fees – totalling £31,000 the first year, and another £18,000 a year for four years after that.
The proud father hopes to earn a small fortune by appearing on Deal Or No Deal, and is prepared to remortgage the family home as a last resort if he fails to get rich quick on TV….Continue Reading
