1) Kids week runs from 13-27 August and has a huge array of free activities and workshops and tickets to top London shows for children. In the first week activities range from a backstage tour of the Old Vic theatre for 12- to 16-year-olds, the chance for 11- to 14-year-olds with grade four ballet and above to join the cast of Billy Elliott for their daily dance class, and the opportunity to learn how to dance and sing like the King of Pop with members of the cast of Thriller Live.
2) Camden Arts Centre in north London offers free admission to its exhibitions with free activity guides to keep children busy. The guides are written by artists and designed for use by families, school children, teachers and educational groups.
